Can anyone think of any sort of downside to doing this? The autovacation due to inactivity will still happen individually on worlds though yes.

-Andrew Only I can think of is it may frustrate people. Only other thing I can think of is someone goes on vacation and doesn't come out. So pretty much quitting BD. Can anyone think of anything else?

Good idea.
Down side: frustration for those that want to keep their ranks when they know they have lost a war. 
Nothing else really. As hero stated, if they are going on vacation in real life why not going in all servers to avoid pressure?
