it would be my first comments here after suggested by sir skipwith (thanks to him) (read the whole story of Rof)...
but ya, i understand the admin concern.
we (Rof) were in war with ELDR/GODS for long time. our alliance was a fresh formed alliance with few experienced players only. it was clear for us that we alone can not win against them, but we can bring them down to the third or fourth rank from the second rank. but when the HORD and ELDR revealed there cards, we got here are 20s of HORDS. once we were in war at both the end simultaneously. all hope lost. Enthusiasm died. , RIP simply gave-up.
TBD took the HORD head-on and went into full fledged war. however their destiny was predetermined. we the Rof were confused to fight against whom. half of us already went in to passive mode. Initially we decided to give-up our crystals to HORD without any resistance and it was clear that collecting all the crystal was their mission. almost all of us gave-up crystals and saved our units to continue with ELDR only. we were trying to wake-up RIP to give them a tough challenge, but we failed in waking him up. our main units were at the western side, little engaged with ELDR. But, apart from our crystals our op also were being captured by HORD. we had lost 70%of our op. we had seen enugh. we got call from TBD for help and we answered. few of our members were ready to suicide. the battle at the west with ELDR was on an unofficial hold for a while and an attempt of peace with them was failed. Then we turned to the east to regain our op from HORD and we took many ops. Half of HORD again turned towards our colonies. TBD got some relief. but no longer we were in challenge like TBD. half of us were already half-dead (in sleep mode) or left the game. i also lost my 90 %of units unfortunately in that round. many of us realized its useless to clash with HORD head-on.
mean while we saw some movement in RFW/RIP in the west. Rof decided to concentrate on any one of our enemies. we again turned to west to engage with ELDR with hope RFW will help us there. but it was not like that. RFW/RIP remains in sleep mode.
This time we took ELDR head to head. we were the biggest obstacle for ELDR from getting RIP crystals. we killed over 32 ships (excluding the spam) of ELDR in a day with less loss. one of them died and one of us. then we again offer the peace to ELDR with the term that no longer we will be obstructing them from getting RIP's crystal. as it was useless to help RIP who were not helping themselves (except one or two of them). the peace was established with ELDR (thanks to the ELDR leader K Dragger for the deal and the respect he offered me). by the time TBD was dead.
war with HORD was on an official hold for long time (on their mercy). later i re-talked to Sir Skipwith and we got the peace deal confirmed with some terms and conditions. i gave my words and we followed their conditions ( i apologize if any members of us violate my word by mistake or in their knowledge) and a long term peace is established. now we r allied with HORD and ELDR both and our friendship with them becoming stronger and stronger. we helped TBD and RIP so we became friend of them as-well.

Now i dont have any hard or bad feeling about HORD or ELDR. they are highly skilled, extremely active (which is rarely seen) and honorable alliance. however we learnt a lot from them or because of them. if they have unbeatable power and a very active alliance and we r weak and less active alliance, its not their fault (in my personal view). in last, i personally have respect for many of them like jaqen , sir sikwith, K dragger, Kaustubh, ned stark, matheus and many others for showing their great understanding and self-respect. however they r on top, they respect others (my personal observations) they response me , they gave some value to learners (like me)as well.
thanks for reading a part of my post (may be boring, but my first post in BD). my English writing is poor as English is not my national or native language so i apologize for any mistake or inconvenience or any mis-representation.

@Hawk

That was a pretty good tale about the wars and the situation in F4. Truth is, there was a time around tick 500 when we started the "world-war" that our fate was up in the air. We were at war with 4-5 alliances and were slowly losing ground. Since we were at war on all sides we had our armies broken into 2-3 distinct groups with tons of smaller ships around. We were unable to take out the armies of the active people and could not push into anyone hive without more of our members but, pulling members meant losing ground on the map.

As we noticed our inability to finish TBD with smaller forces, we decided to abandon that fight all together and not tell them... they where intially slow to come out of their hive and we used that time to really squash a lot of our smaller threats.... we then returned to TBD with all our members and put the nails in their coffin.... Once TBD fail, the rest of the map was a breeze....

I only mention this again to reiterate what Hawk was trying to convey. There was a Chance for HORD to lose this era.... it only required the other players of the map to be active enough and to work together as ROF and TBD attempted.... HORD is not invincible and we do not have limitless bank accounts.... we have experience, lots and lots of experience and trust.

As players, we have personally seen each chassis type strength and weakness, we have learn to gauge the activity of our enemies as well as their moves.... but, our units take damage like any other and we are not immune from making PURE MISTAKES.... as TBD witnessed in one battle....

As friends, we can trust each other. We trust that someone from our team is online almost every hour of the day, and that person will checking any incoming for possible damage to a teammates units. We all have skype and emergency contacts and we trust that we will be called before our units die....

Experience and trusted friends is what makes HORD dominant time and time again.....

An although I cannot help others make stronger friendships, I can always help in the experience department, I encourage and ASK all F4 players to speak with me when u have questions and I will do my best to answer them to my fullest or at least grant u a nice response....

Together we PEOPLE are what make this game... so make it fun :)

cheers

TBD watched Game Of Thrones and while it took a few ticks it didn't take long to know who was behind the mask. We just waited to find out who was who already knowing at least 7 of the players they would have on the roster for the era. We knew that we would possibly have to fight with them but we decided to ignore the impending doom and continue to fight other alliances nearby, one of which after several (Seriously couldn't even tell you half of them) name changes was RIP and another being AW. While we were winning against the RIP members in our area we knew we needed an ally for the era. We convinced them to change up their roster, get rid of some inactive players, some players who didn't play strongly, etc. We then asked them to relocate and we said best of luck. Afterwards we conquered AW and watched them relocate, not expecting them to ever be allies of ours.

When we learned Raider had joined RIP we re opened talks with them, talked about their war with ELDR who was GODS at the time and stuff like that. We got to know R34PING a player who caused us the most trouble during the war against RIP and found he was pretty chill. We started becoming better allies then called ourselves brother alliances. We said if the time came we would stick together in a war. Little did we know that was just around the corner.

HORD revealed itself and we knew it was about to go down. We Prepared ourselves but made the mistake of thinking we would be dealt with later on. Or at least I did, but of course I forgot to count the fact that we were about 20 feet from their hive. Oops. We got in talks with RIP again and we decided that it was best for us to hold HORD as long as we could while RIP fought ELDR. I quickly messaged many other top alliances, trying to get them to all agree to a pact to fight HORD. Some that agreed were RoF, RIP, Now BoD and more. Eventually GGx gave in, after Mateo's members got a bit angry with their leader and him saying he supports HORD, and AW joined us after they realized they wouldn't be spared. And so the war with HORD started.

The war was going well. We were losing ground a lot slower than expected and were actually holding HORD a bit. We knew they were very divided and tried to play it to the best of our advantage. We took out some squads here and their, took key positions and caused a lot of squads to turn from attacks and movements. RIP was doing the same, and doing quite well. Suddenly one of our members relocated to RIP hive and then asked us for permission to join them. He didn't contribute much so we said very well, good luck, and picked up Hoppy who we knew from last era. Sadly Hoppy had to spend a lot of time trying to get down to our hive. We thought things were going our way.

That's when we got the news. R34PING informed us he was going into surgery. He said he was getting a heart transplant soon and would try to get on a hospital computer. I told him don't bother. Health is more important during a video game and he should relieve himself of stress during such a time. His wife, a player I had conquered due to my lacking of knowledge of who she was, supported us in the war and I only found out who she was when I offered to liberate her since she was helping so much, and she turned it down explaining who she was and that she would also be at the hospital with him. I wished them both luck and again told R34PING to not worry, we would do what we needed to do. He said thank you, I've been waiting a long time to have this done and I'm very excited finally have my name be at the top of the list. He wished us best of luck and that was the last I ever heard from R34PING. His wife announced on a BC a few days later that he passed away. Our morale quickly fell with that.

With the lost of a great player, ally, and person we watched HORD turn their attention and then come back at us full force. We fought as much as we could, constantly forcing them to turn from encounters and saving our armies when we had to. We tried to set up several counter attacks which all failed, causing us to also be forced to turn around several times. We realized soon we were tired, resource deprived, and out numbered. HORD has a better structure of getting players online as we played a 'hope he shows up by then' play style. We then decided to get the war over with. It had been about 250 ticks of war and we decided we were done. Our allies were for the most part dead, little support was coming, and a lot of our players couldn't get on as much.

Then one day HORD launched at one of our castles that they thought they had gotten rid of the shield of. Luckily we recharged it. We delayed launch and attacked the original op and said goodnight and went to bed. We expected us to lose a lot and for the war to be done.

When we woke up we were very surprised to see what we saw. Yes it was a defeat, but in our eyes a massive victory. HORD had a dragon heading for the castle they went for. They failed to cancel it and the dragon and their squads hit each other. They rushed units to the op to help and manage to save a bit of their army. But we had destroyed all of HORDs armor and a lot of HORDs range. We congratulated each other and then as far as we were concerned, the war was over. We are rebuilding for third as we speak.

We have always and will always respect HORD. They play the game the way it was made to be played and they are good at doing so. They are always very honorable and reward those who actually try. We thank HORD for another exciting era and wish you all the best on your futures on and off the computer.

-Regards
RJGator

Rest In Peace
R34PING
